IMPROVING PERFORMANCE ON DUCATI HYPERMOTARD 698 MONO WITH RAPID BIKE SMART2

RAPID BIKE: THE PERFECT ALLY

Dimsport's Rapid Bike department has successfully completed the development of new Rapid Bike Smart2 add-on module for Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono.
The single-cylinder from Borgo Panigale, renowned for its responsiveness and high rpm, can rely on Rapid Bike's fueling technology as the perfect ally for power delivery fine-tuning to be used on street-road and through the curbs of a race-track
Testing sessions performed on Dimsport’ s Dyno Bike show plenty of margin for improvement, especially in the most frequent and critical riding conditions of Euro 5 / Euro 5+ single-cylinder engine.

RAPID BIKE SMART2: THE EVOLUTION OF FUELING OPTIMIZATION

Rapid Bike Smart2 represents Dimsport's latest evolution of add-on modules, and it is specifically designed to optimize fueling mixture of the latest-generation motorcycles. Developed specifically to manage the severe restrictions set by new standards, Smart2 is a technologically advanced solution for motorcyclists searching for smoother, more responsive, and more comfortable riding  without having to make any radical changes to the bike's stock ECU.

DYNO BIKE ANALYSIS: LINEARITY AND POWER

Thanks to the strategic modulation of stock lambda sensors, Rapid Bike Smart2 can reach the optimal stoichiometric ratio (AFR) especially at mid-range revs and during sudden throttle acceleration. The benefits noticeable while riding translate into:

• Power delivery is significantly smoother: the power curve rises steadily while removing engine hesitations.

• The unpleasant and sudden "on-off" effect at lower revs are drastically reduced, ensuring an ideal smoothness even while riding in city traffic and/or at partial throttle openings.

Dyno Bike graphs highlight the bike’s valuable improvements at partial throttle openings as well as at full throttle.

Mid-Revs: This is the most important result in terms of improving rideability. In the comparison test using the same target, the Smart2 configuration recorded a wheel power of 18.9 hp @4689 rpm vs the 17.6 hp of the stock version. This translates into an 8% increase at mid-revs, strengthening the power curve exactly in the portion where the Ducati single-cylinder engine requires more responsiveness.

Maximum Power: At higher revs, the benefit of fueling optimization is remarkable. The Hypermotard 698 went from a maximum power of 68.2 hp @8249 rpm in stock configuration to an impressive 71.7 hp @8894 rpm thanks to Rapid Bike Smart2 installation, with a consistent gain in top speed and rpm extension.
